(PDF 42 KB).AFAO is concerned that the model of regulation proposed by the Bill may result in a worsening of conditions for some sex workers and an undermining of health promotion efforts with sex workers.The Scarlet Alliance has also put in a submission on this Bill. Victoria 2004

Prostitution Control Fees Regulations 2004 The Victorian Government is proposing to radically increase licensing fees for sex work businesses.Both Scarlet Alliance, (the national forum for sex worker organisations and projects), and AFAO have made submissions to the Victorian Government objecting to this proposal.

 

WA 2003

In early 2003 the WA government released its draft legislation for consultation. AFAO, Scarlet Alliance and Phoenix, the WA sex worker organisation, lodged a submission on the proposed legislation which addresses a range of concerns.  Read more about AFAO's advocacy work on the WA Prostitution Control Bill.

 

Trafficking
