HIV treatments are now so effective that people with HIV can now live long and healthy lives, especially if they start treatment soon after their diagnosis.
There are a variety of different types of HIV treatments available, and the decisions about starting treatment and what treatments to take should always be done in consultation with a doctor with expertise in HIV management.
AFAO has produced a comprehensive resource, HIV Tests and Treatments, that describes available HIV treatments and explains the common tests used to monitor your health and help you make decisions about starting, stopping or changing your antiretroviral treatments.
The HIV Dosage Chart (PDF, 194 KB) lists HIV drugs and dosages. The chart is reproduced with permission and remains the property of Boehringer Ingelheim.
You can browse this section of the website for more detailed information on specific treatments related issues.
