Family & Friends
If someone you care about has recently been diagnosed with HIV, you are probably keen to find information and support. Although HIV is not the 'death sentence' it once was, it can still be very challenging to deal with.
Before you look elsewhere, you may find the Partners, family and friends page of this website helpful. It has helpful information and tips about HIV, what to expect, how to best support the person you care for and how to look after yourself.
The Living with HIV section has detailed information about treatments, health and legal issues for people living with HIV. You will also find tips on travel overseas and migrating to Australia.
The Library has a comprehensive listings of resources and factsheets that will help you better understand what it's like to have HIV, and our Links page lists services and support organisations in your state or territory.
