Drug and alcohol dependence research
A study based at Curtin University aims to explore personal experiences of alcohol and other drug dependence.
The study is open to anyone aged 18 and over, living in Sydney.
The researchers are keen to hear of people's experiences with both legal and illegal substances.
The study will gather information about people’s experiences of living with a drug habit, dependence or addiction, how they cope and how they make decisions about drug use, drug treatment and everyday life.
This research will help Curtin develop a website for people experiencing issues with alcohol and other drugs and those working to support them.
Participation involves a confidential audio recorded interview of about one hour, and participants will be reimbursed $50 for their time. The interviews will be conducted in a location chosen by the participant in Sydney.
